I first saw Angela Fung's work when I was taking a jewelry class in high school. I was drawn to it because I had never seen jewelry that incorporated movement like that before. It is a fun idea that gives the wearer something to play with while she is wearing the piece.
Her jewelry is studio production because it is produced in limited quantities. She uses high quality materials like stainless steel, gold rivets and precious stones.
I chose some of her rings to show here because I think they are the most interesting and show off her style. Her use of rivets and the strong geometric shapes.

Wow these are so neat! I totally want one, and they are definitely studion production. I feel like it would be really neat to intern in her studio and make all these industrial yet still kinda playful works.
Simplicity is beautiful. These production pieces are so amazing to me because they portray a simple idea but as the trained eye can see, they are challenging in their fabrication. I really appreciate how Fung uses precious and non precious materials to create a beautiful piece.
